From the pavement construction emission perspective, bitumen emulsion is considered more environment-friendly than conventional because of its much lower temperature. However, faces major concern low mechanical strength especially at high service temperatures. To improve performance emulsion, waterborne epoxy resin can be used as a modifier. Nevertheless, there still lacks fundamental understanding on effects microstructure and rheological performances residual emulsion. fill this gap, study aims to investigate develop constitutive model resin-modified residue (WEBER). achieve objective, confocal laser scanning microscopy was first adopted characterise WEBER.
